Laura Bush opens up about Obama, His family and previous administration

Former first lady Laura Bush praised the performance of her husband’s successor Monday, breaking with many Republicans in telling CNN that she thinks President Obama is doing a good job under tough circumstances.

She also believes it is a good thing that he is speaking to school children and encourages parents to follow up and speak to their children. You know, parent your child as a parent should do.

So what is that her and her hubby are doing now? Working on there memoirs. I hope one of them at least bring the juicy deets to a book, otherwise as much as I like Laura, I think both of those books could be a bit of a snoozefest.

  1. Although I am not and probably will not be a Republican supporter, I admire the courage that Laura Bush demonstrated with her supporting statements about President Obama – I, too, am disappointed that the people we elect to make our laws, spend our money, and represent us all, bicker along party lines no matter what the issue – that is ignorance of a different kind – not the kind of ignorance because of lack of knowledge, but the kind of ignorance chosen specifically to deceive – you all should be ashamed of yourselves.

  2. I don’t think anyone can fault this woman. She is just such a sweetheart through and through. And no one can blame her for defending her husband’s administration–one can disagree with her on it, but you can’t blame her.
