Bombing in Iraq

The death toll from twin car bombings in Baghdad climbed to 160, with at least 540 people more wounded in the deadliest attack in the capital in more than two years, the Interior Ministry said Monday.

Among the wounded were three American security contractors, the U.S. Embassy said, declining to provide further details. The area struck is close to the heavily guarded “green zone,” which houses the embassy.

Let’s hope the Iraqi’s can come out of this and fight for the freedom they deserve.

U.S in Afghanistan for the long haul???

Thats what Bill Clinton’s wifey and Robert Gates are saying.

So does that mean Gates got his extra 40,000 troops he asked for? Not exactly, it seems the amount of troops is still under discussion

The Taliban insurgency currently has the momentum in Afghanistan, Gates said, adding that a Taliban takeover of the country would empower the al Qaeda terrorist network.

“Because of our inability and the inability, frankly, of our allies to put enough troops in Afghanistan, the Taliban do have the momentum right now, he said.

Ummm, okay so what is happening?

“We’re not leaving Afghanistan,” he declared, adding: “There should be no uncertainty in terms of our determination to remain in Afghanistan and to continue to build a relationship of partnership and trust with the Pakistanis. That’s long term. That’s a strategic objective of the United States.”

Okay, so I get the point of the meeting where the US will stay in Afghanistan, yet every though there are not enough troops in Afghanistan to stop the Talibana momentum the next step is not decided….way to take your time kids.

Now its Bush’s fault..again…because of the poorly run war in Afghanistan

It seems the white house is pointing fingers at Bush…again…for the war in Afghanistan. The same person that before he left office, made sure there was an increase in troops being sent, much to the dismay of congress and had to fight congress everystep of the way for the final two years he was in office to manage Iraq and Afghanistan.

Someone needs to remind Congress that its pretty much the exact same Congress he (Bush) was dealing with his final two years is the same Congress Obama is dealing with now.

“A Change We can Believe in”…..providing we can keep pointing fingers in the past

White House. Aug 8th: War on Terror is over. Aug 31st: War on Terror is On??

On August 8th the White House spoke out about the War on Terror being over, only moving ahead with saying its a War on Al Queda.

Lets insert time here…2 weeks later.

Well today it seems as though Robert Gibbs, the white House press secretary did not get that memo…but hay at least they are finally speaking about it (see previous posts)

Lets just blame the communication breakdown on too much fun at margaritaville.

We all hear so many promises during the election process, don’t we? So many people believe those promises, and that is what is scary. No matter what side of the fence you are on, everyone should have had the common sense to know it would not and could not be over like the flick of a remote control switch. Yet they say it and people believe it.

Idiots! (Voters and Politicians get the blame here)

All the do by “exaggerating” is lose faith in your voters. Someone, somewhere needs to stand up and stop lying. People can take the good with the bad. Just stop feeding us B.S. Its going to come out eventually.

Sigh!
