China considering setting up Military Bases abroad

Well, why not….U.S does it.

China has signaled it wants to go the US way and set up military bases in overseas locations that would possibly include Pakistan. The obvious purpose would be to exert pressure on India as well as counter US influence in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

“(So) it is baseless to say that we will not set up any military bases in future because we have never sent troops abroad,” an article published on Thursday at a Chinese government website said. “It is our right,” the article said and went on to suggest that it would be done in the neighborhood, possibly Pakistan.

“As for the military aspect, we should be able to conduct the retaliatory attack within the country or at the neighboring area of our potential enemies. We should also be able to put pressure on the potential enemies’ overseas interests,” it said.

Obamas fix to the economy – Job Summit

President Obama, facing a 10.2% unemployment rate, said Thursday he would hold a jobs forum at the White House in December.

He noted the encouraging signs of economic growth and a slowing of the loss of jobs in recent months, but said employers are still reluctant to hire and millions are desperate to find work. Ummm O-man, are you reading the same things that I am, because unemployment has gone up, not down.

But anywhos….

“Even though we’ve slowed the loss of jobs — and today’s report on the continued decline in unemployment claims is a hopeful sign — the economic growth that we’ve seen has not yet led to the job growth that we desperately need,” the President said in a statement delivered at the White House.

“We all know that there are limits to what government can and should do, even during such difficult times. But we have an obligation to consider every additional responsible step that we can to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country,” he added.

Those invited to the forum will include CEOs, small business owners, economists, financial experts, and representatives from labor and non-profits…..who I’m sure are all Democrats and this will be done behind closed doors.

Well, see you in 10 days O-man, have fun in Asia…dont worry Afghanistan will still be there when you get back.

Boeing could move to China?

Boeing CEO Jim McNerney is eager to move the company to China. Whether moving Boeing to China means shifting its headquarters from Chicago to Beijing is up in the air.
Boeing already has $600 million in supplier partnerships with China — such as a deal with Shenyang
The strong whisper amongst the engineers at Boeing believe that McNerney is dead set on the idea of moving the aircraft development to China

Tighten your seat belts, this could have some turbulance.
