Then my point is, if Fox News are just lying everyday and distoring truths everyday as well as MSNBC and CNN etc…why dont they have on the white house website that addresses every main news organization in the U.S and point out what is the truth and what has been “distorted” on both sides
If anyone out there voted from O-man and is not appalled at the ‘war’ on Fox News, you should be. Even f you dont watch the news station, thats fine, dont watch it, you dont have to, but I hope for educating yourself you do watch it as well as all the other news stations out there including BBC.
Because this is plain and simple, it really is attacking the first amendment, its freedom of speech. Yo umight not like what the other side has to say, but they have the right to say it….or dont make a big hoopla over someone yelling “you lie” during a speech.
The Obama administration on Thursday tried to make “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the White House pool except Fox News. The pool is the five-network rotation that for decades has shared the costs and duties of daily coverage of the presidency.
But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks consulted and decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included.
Media analysts cheered the decision to boycott the Feinberg interview unless Fox News was included, saying the administration’s gambit was taking its feud with Fox News too far. President Obama has already declined to go on “Fox News Sunday,” even while appearing on the other Sunday shows.
The Obama administration inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, or the economy turned out to be worse than they thought. Which is it? It can’t be both
Here is a piece by Steve Huntly from the Chicago Sun-Times, that raises all the questions we have today about the love affair that the media and others have with Obama and the thin veil it is hiding behind.
Have you heard the news? President Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration.
You say that’s hardly news? But it’s been the message sounded over and over by the White House. Top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on one of the Sunday news shows, “He walked in the door, we had the worst economy since the Great Depression.” In San Francisco, Obama talked of being “busy with our mop.” White House heavy hitter Rahm Emanuel used the worst-economy-since-the-Depression line on a public TV news show.
Take, for example, all the talk of inheriting the worst economy since the 1930s crisis. That came in response to the news that the federal deficit hit $1.4 trillion.
Yet just a few months ago, the Obama camp was singing a little different tune. It was under criticism for the $787 billion stimulus package it bulldozed through Congress on grounds that massive spending was needed to keep the unemployment rate from breaching 8 percent. When joblessness hit 9.5 percent in June, Vice President Joe Biden said, “We misread how bad the economy was.”
They inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, or the economy turned out to be worse than they thought. Which is it? It can’t be both
The MSNBC blast against the chamber appears to dovetail with what the Politico newspaper reports is a White House and Democratic effort “to marginalize” the business organization. That echoes the administration assault on the Fox News Channel: It says Fox isn’t a news organization.
The White House trying to dictate who’s a news organization. Democrats out to gut a business group. Obama media allies damning Americans as racist, unpatriotic and treasonous. Is this the America Obama promised when he campaigned to end the cynical and divisive politics of the past?
It raises very good questions and points out some great points and questions the article from CNN asking if the GOP are in trouble, are they, or is it just that so many crazies are getting the “media” spotlight and not the run or the mill normal people that are starting to see more clearly and ask better questions and know when we are getting the run around.
President Obama’s presidential campaign focused on “making” the news media cover certain issues while rarely communicating anything to the press unless it was “controlled,” White House Communications Director Anita Dunn disclosed to the Dominican government at a videotaped conference.
So does that mean that journalists no longer exsist or are lazy?
Continued Dunn: “Whether it was a David Plouffe video or an Obama speech, a huge part of our press strategy was focused on making the media cover what Obama was actually saying as opposed to why the campaign was saying it, what the tactic was. … Making the press cover what we were saying.”
Well at least they admit to controlling everything, now maybe people will ask the questions that need to be asked, although doubtfull.
And this all comes on the heels of the criticism from TV commentator Glenn Beck on Friday, saying that a Mao Tse-tung quote Beck took issue with was picked up from legendary GOP strategist Lee Atwater.
Either way like it or not, media outlets shoudl be reporting and checking facts and not spinning the facts either for that matter, and the white house should not be accusing of a media outlet, if its wrong, prove it otherwise but forging a war on a media outlet that has one of the largest followings on cable news is not going to get you any more new friends….and lets face it, but without Fox News, we would still be blind in regards to the former “green czar” Van Jones
Here is the video of Dunn’s statements
Who is Van Jones?
Well if you watch or read New York Times, Washington Post, NBC Nightly news, ABC World News or CBS Evening News…you more than likely have never heard that he called republicans Assholes.
This is also the man that said ‘Only white suburban kids shoot up schools’
I’m surprised many of these outlets did not report it, you would think for many they would want it out there that republicans are assholes. I’m sure Van Jones would have received a new fan base.
Van Jones has resigned, so I guess we wont be hearing from him anytime soon
