Obama spends a total of 4 hours in New Orleans. Spent more time in Copenhagen bidding on the Olympics.

Ahhh O-man, flys in, yell about how his stimulus (you know the orginal one that gets yelled out because George Bush signed off on it) is working and how New Orleans is growing and then like a true professional prostitiute politican, gets on a plane a leaves.

Love em’ and leave em’.

The people of New Orleans deserve more than a ‘drive-through daiquiri’ summit with the president,” said Rep. Steve Scalise, R-Louisiana and Sen. David Vitter, R-Louisiana, wrote in a letter to Obama that “if the town hall is the only major event of the visit, I truly think it will be deeply disappointing to most citizens.”

But O-man needs to fly onto Nancy’s land so they can get a quickie in without Michelle, do you people not know how this love affair works?

You voted him, he does not need you until the next election, not even on the anniversary of your Hurricane, unless it falls into election time.

Pelosi needs a Kleenex, Chokes up over fear of Political violence??

Miss dont you waterboard me Pelosi says “I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw … I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,” Pelosi said, choking up and with tears forming in her eyes. “This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made.”

Boo HOO!!! You have no one to blame but yourselves, you wont listen to anyone else, you walk around congress like you own it (which I guess for now you do) you make statements that you dont care what people think about you and your party screams racisim every time they dont get there way.

So now, when the other side protest, it’s violence, when your team protests its patriotic?? As far as I’m aware the only severe violence to occur was when a health care reform activist bit the finger off a counter-demonstrator.
Stop being a hypocrite. Go kill a tree and blow on a kleenex. Your crocodile tears are a good ploy, but not good enough.

Q.Health care lobbying is costing how much? A.Enough to pay the entire insurance tab for about 30,000 families a year

So these big spenders range from drug companies, hospitals and doctor groups to organizations that advocate for unions, immigrants and retirees.

But nearly $400 million seems a little excessive, does it not?

The largest chunk has gone to direct lobbying of lawmakers and other policymakers. In the first half of 2009, the health care industry spent nearly $280 million on lobbyists, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Just plain stupid craziness.

The lobbying figures alone are on track to exceed half-a-billion-dollar mark by the end of the year, which would be a record.

The big payoff for such spending? Open doors to policy makers.

AHA!! It seems there is an admission fee to the white house afterall.

Considering Health and accident insurers, HMOs and health services organizations increased their contributions to Blue Dogs from $106,200 in the first quarter of 2009 to $122,650 in the second, my guess if it does not pass through, they better look for contributions somewhere else in the third quarter. Someone has got to be pissed spending throwing all that money if it gets no where.

You better keep that pay off money safe and sound congress, you might it for when many of you dont have a job next year.

Pelosi and the White House Expresses Approval for ‘Public Option’ Alternative

It seems Miss Dont you waterboard me Pelosi and the rest of the white house might be coming off the perch a little and approving of a potential reform package that does not include a government-run insurance plan.

GASP!!

Until now Miss P has described the so-called public option, backed aggressively by the liberal House Democrats, as a key ingredient to passage of any House health reform package.

But on Thursday she acknowledged talks to substitute a “trigger” mechanism that would hold the public option in abeyance for several years so Congress could evaluate the performance of the insurance industry and its ability or willingness to expand coverage or lower premiums.

Ey-ye-ye

Although that is the story today, who knows what the story will be tomorrow.

Stay Tuned, folks….

Whose Health Care cause is it anyway?

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who obviously is staying away from Obama and protester Cindy Sheehan during the summer break spoke today and vowed to the cause of her of Sen Kennedy’s life

“This is the cause of my life,” Kennedy said of the 46 million Americans who do not have health insurance.

Meanwhile across town Byrd has offered his 2 cents and suggested the new healthcare reform be named after Kennedy and upon hearing this Nancy kicked herself for not coming up with the same thing and getting a extra 1 minute of time on C-Span and not one of them thinking about the impact it could be having on Mary Jo Kopechne’s family in regards to having a healthcare bill in Kennedy’s name

Give yourselves a round of applause

What is un-american and what is not?

Vs – this article

Why can a war be protested and not health insurance? No matter what side of the fence you stand on, why is it un-american for one protest and not another?
